Wastewater & Sewage Disposal System
Focus has been retained by Suncor Energy Inc. to undertake and complete the design and build of a wastewater and sewage disposal field for the Steepbank Mine Complex near Fort McMurray, Alberta.
Focus is responsible for the design and project management of sixteen disposal mounds to treat 52 m3/d of treated wastewater on a continuous basis. Focus will also design an extensive storm water collection system to separate the storm water and monitor the ground water with four ground water monitoring wells. A heating system designed by Focus will ensure continued operation of the system during extreme weather conditions.
