Focus oversaw the design of the Twin Cedars reclaimed wastewater treatment plant and disposal system for registration with the Ministry of Environment under the Municipal Sewage Regulation.
The wastewater treatment facility was designed to treat wastewater from approximately 80 homes in the Twin Cedars residential subdivision on Vancouver Island and discharge it as reclaimed water to an existing wetland or to rapid infiltration basins.
Although the client had limited options for the conventional treatment and discharge of wastewater, Focus provided solutions that resulted in a wastewater treatment plant that met all governing authorities’ requirements and municipal standards. The facility was turned over the Cowichan Valley Regional District to own and operate.
