Parking Expansion & Stormwater Management
Focus was the prime consultant for the Victoria Airport Authority’s $4 million upgrade to traffic circulation, parking and stormwater management at the Air Terminal Building area.
As the prime consultant, Focus had overall responsibility for all design, including traffic, municipal engineering, utility relocation, signage and electrical. We also worked closely with the landscape architect on the design and construction of the rain gardens and swales, the associated irrigation and sub-drainage and the selection of critical topsoils for the planting beds.
The project included relocation of nearby Willingdon Road, construction of 700 parking stalls in two phases, redirection of on-site drainage and rehabilitation of an existing runoff control and treatment pond.
