Columbia Shuswap Regional District: GIS Review
Focus was hired by the Columbia Shuswap Regional District to study their use of geographic information systems (GIS). The expanding need for GIS within the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) prompted the review of their current GIS implementation and its ability to support the CSRD in the future.
Focus’ review process involved a detailed on-site investigation of the CSRD’s GIS practices and interviews with staff that use GIS. To gain a full understanding of each department’s GIS-related concerns and objectives, Focus held interviews with key staff members from each department. The final document provided the CSRD with details of the review and provided recommendations for setting future priorities.
