Focus Joins Alberta's Promise

EDMONTON, ALBERTA-Focus is proud to be a part of Alberta's Promise, a movement
to inspire businesses and other organizations to direct more resources to
benefit children and youth living in Alberta.
The mission of Alberta's Promise is to inspire and encourage businesses,
foundations, service clubs, agencies and communities to create more
opportunities for Alberta's children and youth to be successful, healthy and
happy. Alberta's Promise publicly recognizes and communicates the valuable
contributions that organizations make in the lives of children and youth
throughout Alberta. "Together we will make Alberta the best place in the world
to raise our children," explains Colleen Klein, Honourary Chair for Alberta's
Promise.
"We are thrilled to be a part of Alberta's Promise, explains John Holmlund, CEO.
Investing in children has been an integral part of our company for many years
and we look forward to continuing to make a difference in the lives of
Alberta's children," he adds.
Focus has been officially recognized as a Promise Builder for Alberta's Promise.
Promise builders are businesses, corporations, service clubs, media
organizations, industry and/or professional associations, and foundations who
commit to continue and/or increase the resources they contribute to children
and youth programs or projects.
Most recently, Focus donated $50,000 towards the development of the Outdoor
Healing Gardens at Alberta Children's Hospital in Calgary, Alberta. Focus also
donated $50,000 towards the development of a Children's Play Therapy Room at
the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
A Little Red Wagon was chosen to symbolize a partner's commitment to do great
things for Alberta's Children. The little wagon is proudly on display at Focus'
