Focus Acquires Waberski Darrow Survey Group Ltd.

EDMONTON, ALBERTA-Focus Corporation (Focus) is pleased to announce the strategic acquisition of Waberski Darrow Survey Group Ltd. (Waberski).

Founded in 1982, Waberski is a full service geomatics firm based in Fort St. John, British Columbia. Waberski is comprised of 70 dedicated professionals whose primary business is legal, engineering and geodetic surveying in the Peace Region of northwestern Alberta and northeastern British Columbia. Waberski is a leading service provider to the oil and gas, residential, commercial and municipal markets in the region. All Waberski employees will join Focus and play an integral role for years to come.

With the addition of Waberski, Focus has strengthened its ability to service the needs of oil and gas producers operating in northeastern British Columbia. Focus is the largest provider of land surveying, mapping and related services to the oil and gas industry in Western Canada and also provides engineering design, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services for oil and gas facilities, pipelines and coalbed methane projects.

Focus completed the necessary due diligence of the acquisition with the support of its equity partner, KRG Capital Partners (KRG), a private equity firm based in Denver, Colorado. For Focus, this partnership has created the opportunity for significant growth, additional investment potential and more enhanced services for its clients.
