Focus Signs Letter of Intent with The Cadastral Group

EDMONTON, ALBERTA—Focus is pleased to announce The Cadastral Group Inc. (Cadastral) has signed a letter of intent to join Focus.

Based in Calgary, Alberta, Cadastral is a well established land surveying company with more than 240 employees. Cadastral provides services exclusively to the oil and gas industry and is recognized for it’s commitment to client service and employee satisfaction. Cadastral also has a branch office in Slave Lake, Alberta.

“This strategic acquisition brings tremendous benefits to our company and strengthens our ability to service the needs of our clients as they continue to develop their oil and gas exploration and development programs throughout Western Canada,” explains John Holmlund, Focus CEO and President. “With the addition of Cadastral, Focus will become the largest provider of land surveying, mapping and related services to the oil and gas industry. We will have more than 500 people, including more than 150 field crews supplying services to the industry.”

In the next few months, Focus will be completing the necessary due diligence aspects of the acquisition with the support of its equity partner, KRG Capital Partners (KRG), a private equity firm based in Denver, Colorado. The Cadastral acquisition is anticipated to close on March 15, 2006.
