Focus one of Alberta’s Fastest Growing Companies for 2007

EDMONTON, ALBERTA-Focus has been selected to the list of Alberta's Fastest Growing Companies for 2007.

Alberta's Fastest Growing Companies 2007 also known as the Fast 50 is compiled by Alberta Venture magazine with the assistance of KPMG Enterprise and the sponsorship of ATB Financial, Alberta Research Council, Parlee McLaws LLP, Robert Half Canada and TEC Canada. The list of Alberta's Fastest Growing Companies for 2007 is featured in the January/February issue of Alberta Venture magazine.

After reviewing all information, Alberta Venture divided the 2007 winners into the top 25 companies with revenue under $20 Million and the top 25 companies with revenue over $20 Million. Focus was ranked as the 12th fastest growing company with revenues over $20 Million. Focus was also recognized as one of Alberta's Fastest Growing Companies in 2006, 2005, 2003 and 2002.

To be eligible for Alberta's Fastest Growing Companies 2007, Alberta-based businesses with at least three years of operation are invited to complete a Growth Questionnaire. From the submitted information, companies are ranked by assessing points for 10 different categories, including growth in gross sales, assets, profitability and employees, as well as product development, incentive programs, investment in research and development, capital expenditures, marketing and export activity.
