Scope
Focus met Syncrude Canada's stringent safety standards while providing unionized surveying services to Syncrude's $8.1 Billion Upgrader Expansion 1 (UE-1) project. Focus provided services on an as-needed basis to Syncrude and various contractors at different phases of the project. Focus provided a range of surveying services for the project including pile layout, verification of existing monuments, piping as-builts, anchor bolt and foundation surveys, lasergrammetry for new coker structures, surveying and scanning of underground utilities, steel alignment for new coker areas and implementation of a new "best fit" first order control network.
