Scope
The demand for skilled workers to develop the massive oil sands reserves surrounding Fort McMurray, Alberta has created a severe housing shortage. Focus was retained by the Province of Alberta and Wood Buffalo Housing Development Corporation (WBHDC) to provide planning, engineering and legal survey services to assist with the Timberlea residential development.

Focus started with an initial feasibility analysis and site evaluation which led to the successful development of over 100 acres of residential housing in various forms. Focus was then asked to expand its role to include the evaluation of an additional 1000 acres with general planning, engineering and geotechnical analysis and top of bank surveys.
